Way out west

So, we made it to San Francisco in one piece (of hand luggage, per passenger). Arrived around lunchtime on Saturday, local time, and then determined to push on until a reasonable-ish bedtime rather than surrender to the siren call of jetlag. So we went for a walk….actually, it’s probably fairer to say that we trekked five miles around the city up and down its hills, because once we started wandering, we just couldn’t stop.

Then yesterday, we did the same again. With no specific destinations in mind, we did what we had wanted to do all along - wandered, ambled, bimbled a bit and stopped (frequently and hppily) for brunch, coffee, etc. Another 5 miles. Bosh.

Tell you what, though: there are some serious hills in this bit of the world - they don’t look that big (and, to be fair, they’re not) but combine them with days of pounding the concrete beneath your feet and a lot of slight upward and downward inclines and, well, let’s just say I am developing thighs like a russian weightlifter. And my feet - oy. They smart.

The light yesterday was pretty poor for photos, so I’m hoping for a better play today. No real plans, except I’ve got a strong feeling there may be Dim Sum involved.

I just checked my mail for the first time in a few days and was irritated to see that someone has been using this domain to spoof spam from headers - so I had hundreds of bouncebacks in my inbox. *Sigh*

If you have arrived here after getting some random spam from [someone]@meish.org, then I’m sorry. It wasn’t me. Please hammer, don’t hurt me.
