Like Santa sliding down your chimney, so quietly you’ll barely notice him until he empties his sack in your stockings, festive topical blogging at ‘Tis the Season is back once again, this year covering fascinating festive facts.
And if you want more to read, I can do little better than point you to the copious archives for the last few years which demonstrate both
a) a hearty fondness for the festive season and all the silliness and tradition it entails and
b) a tendancy for the authors to get tired/run out of steam/disappear to frozen wastelands of Scotland etc a couple of days before crimbo every year. But hopefully not this time.
Also: have you ever seen a more stupidly transparent seasonal marketing ploy than festive-scented toilet bleach? The mind boggles.
On the matter of ‘Tis - it doesn’t seem to have had any updates since Monday. What gives?
Just wanted to say a huge YAY!!! and thanks for ‘Tis the Season’ - i love it so much.
I found it last year and it is so cool to have something to laugh at during what is undoubtedly the most horribly stressful 1/12th of the year.
