Another week, another stamp in the passport…

At the risk of turning this into a travel blog, I’m on the move again, this time over in Virginia, US, for a few days.

Somewhere over the NE US

Was on the plane with Ming the merciless, which was interesting - see the flunkies! See how they run! Look at them scurry! It’s almost as if they thought he was important or something! Of course, he may well be, at some point, but his problem at the moment is that he’s just some old bloke. Barely recognised him, to be honest.

Watched two films - Richard E Grant’s Wah-Wah and Over the Hedge. This is mostly because, having flown long haul with BA just last week, I’d already seen Confidence and whatever the other one was which I’ve completely forgotten. On the way back, last week, I saw Mi:3 and, er, something utterly forgettable, which means presumably I’ll have the same paucity of choice in a few days when I fly home. October can’t come fast enough. New films, please!

Now safely installed in the hotel, brewing for a prolonged rant about the utter muppetity of some air travellers, but too knackered to put too much oomph into it. So, for now:

People of Heathrow (etc): two things. They’re quite simple. Try and keep up, if you can.

1. Which part of one cabin bag per person don’t you understand? Obviously, there needs to be a simpler way of saying it, because you STILL seem amazed when you get to security and they tell you you can only take one.

2. Also, you see all those people in the queue for the x-ray machine? You see how they’re all stooping and taking their shoes off? And taking their coats off? And taking things out of their pockets? And you know how you can see aaaaall the way down the line, and you’re standing there, looking at all the people in front of you in the line doing this, as they approach the machine? So, how is it possible that it doesn’t occur to you that you might need to do the same until you’re at the front of the queue?

And relaaaaax. Possibly time for sleep, seeing as how Forrest Gump is on, and I don’t need reminding about the stupidity of people right now…
