It’s my birthday today. Halfway to sixty-four. Will you still (half) need me? Will you still (half) feed me? Now I’m thirty-two?
My lovely husband gave me the fabulous new zoom lens I’d been coveting and so I celebrated (and was chilled to the bone) with friends and photography in the middle of town where the powers that be had decreed that St Patrick’s Day should be celebrated a week early.

(Plus: full set from today’s festivities)
Their decision made a lovely birthday gift for me, photographically-speaking, but I can’t help but think St Patrick might have been a bit put out…
Next outing for the new lens (and me): Scotland, again, at the end of the week. Hoorah!
