It Wasn’t Me

Is the Interwebnet broken? Did someone trip over the flex and pull the plug out of the wall by mistake? Is there jam all over it?

Loads of sites seem to be down/not responding or half responding but being i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-y s - l - o - w to load. Sites which work one minute suddenly won’t work the next - and sites which won’t work, work again, randomly, moments later - blogs, google, all sorts of things. It’s really odd, and it’s been going on for hours and it’s starting to really get on my wick.

Now then. See what I did there?

I quite simply took an issue that was affecting my browsing experience, and turned it into someone else’s fault, a much bigger problem which is afflicting millions. Couldn’t possibly be anything to do with me or my computer, oh no.

And that, ladles and gentlespoons, is the very essence of being a customer in today’s world. Fact.

Related: “To get on s.o.’s wick” origin. In brief, wick = (Hampton) Wick = Prick.

Ooh. Not very accurate.

Alright, it’s beginning to get on my tits, then.

That just sounds plain wrong.

Funny how something can get on your tits, but can’t get off. Whereas a person can be off their tits, or off their head. And you can have a heads-up. God, I hate that phrase. Go boil your heads-up.

Up my nose. That’ll do. Or, even better, “estoy hasta las narices con esa cosita!”
